Trauma is not a foul in the game, but an injury of the leg - it compels us to separate from the parts of ourselves that are wounded, as it is too painful to walk with them.

Trauma does not make you stronger, trauma makes you - traumatized. If something happens that causes you pain, sadness, fear, apprehension, any intensely unpleasant emotion, and then you "swallow" it, "don't shed a tear", and stop feeling anything anymore... You are not stronger because of it. You are anesthetized. You have suppressed it. You have created an inner split between what your inner self knows is needed, and what your mind considers acceptable

Free yourself from the tyranny of the inner belief that you must and should endure everything so that someone else will validate your worth, and give you the epithet "strong".
